The SHRM Foundation is a not-for-profit organization that operates as the research and development arm of the Human Resource profession. The Foundation advances the profession and enhances the knowledge and competency of Human Resource professionals through its funding of research, publications, and educational programs.

Speaker: Brenda Ferrari

Title: When the Other Shoe Drops

As a speaker, Brenda reveals the woman behind the laughter. “When the other shoe drops,” is the revealing story of the struggles on her ride through life. She was diagnosed at birth as severely mentally handicapped. Her abusive upbringing, navigating life with a 3rd grade reading level, plus set back after set back, as her world unfolded is “riveting.” Brenda shows us 3 revelations she realized that kept her going. Her techniques on how to measure where you are in your own life and career and be thankful and grateful for all the experiences that have brought you to where you are, are truly inspiring.

Jeff Nally will be speaking briefly about the SHRM foundation. Your SHRM Foundation is more than a cause. It’s a vibrant resource to empower HR professionals with new skills, new practices, and new approaches to lead the human side of your organization.

Substitutions are allowed; however, the non-member rate may apply. Requests for transfers must be made at least seven days in advance, as BGSHRM pays the venue based on the numbers of registered attendees.
