Thank you for your interest in Bluegrass SHRM! Please review the descriptions for our membership types and choose the one that most closely aligns with your professional HR experience. 	Professional
			a) Actively engaged in exempt level Human Resource management or administration with at least three years exempt level HR experience; or b) Currently certified by the Human Resource Certification Institute; or c) On faculty with three or more years experience holding assistant or full professor rank in HR. d) Attorneys-at-Law (engaged in Employment Law) Professional members may vote and hold elected office in the Chapter.
	Associate
			Individuals who do not meet the above qualifications but who demonstrate a bona fide interest in Human Resource Management for the purposes of the Chapter, are actively engaged in an entry-level HR position that is not covered in the Professional Membership requirements or are a member of National SHRM. Only Associate members who are National SHRM members may vote or hold office.
	Retired
			Professional or Associate members with three or more years of Chapter membership who retire from their full-time employment will be designated as lifetime Retired Members without further payment of annual dues (meals/meeting fees are still required). Retired Members may not vote or hold office.
	Student
			Individuals engaged in taking the equivalent of at least six (6) credit hours per term in a degree-seeking program and who meet all of the following criteria: a) Individuals who have taken or plan to take coursework which supports a demonstrated interest in the field of Human Resources Management. b) Individuals who are not employed full-time in an exempt position or as an officer on active-duty with the U.S. Armed Forces. (Exempt employees and military officers are not eligible for student membership in the Society.) Student members do not have voting rights and may not hold office in the Society. In addition, students may attend monthly chapter meetings at no cost.
	Past-President
			All Past-presidents will be considered lifetime members without further payment of annual dues (meals/meeting fees are still required).
	Board Member
			All Board Members receive free registration during their active board terms but still must pay for meals.
	Officer
			All officers (President, President-Elect, Treasurer, Secretary/Business Manager) shall receive free meals and dues during the active terms.
