Description:

This interactive presentation allows for the participants to be the judge or jury and vote as to how they think the court ruled after hearing a set of facts. Participants will learn about topics such as recording in the workplace, ADA disability and reasonable accommodation, FMLA real-life scenarios, wage and hour issues, and more.

Learning Objectives:

The presentation is designed to apply legal principles, statutes and regulations to real-life scenarios and encourage participants to think through how they would react to those real-life scenarios. Participants can expect to learn how courts have applied the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, wage and hour laws, and more to real situations.

*Approved for one (1.0) PDCs with SHRM and HRCI.

Registration Deadline: Due to venue catering requirements, registration for in-person attendance closes 7 days prior to the event date. Virtual participation registration closes the day before the event.

BGSHRM strives to provide quality events that are educational in content and rich in networking opportunities. We place emphasis on the humans in Human Resources and value the shared experience of our peers and comrades who are working to create safe and productive environments for their employees. We have designed chapter meeting fees to be as low as possible.
